Iraq, USA and Russia’s S-400 air defence systemnote

The statement by Iraqi Ambassador to Moscow about the Iraqi government’s intention to purchase the S-400 air defence system from Russia is said to have provoked a wide concern at the Pentagon over the matter, as this is seen as part of a worrying larger trend among the Middle East countries, with many of which expressing more interest in the Russian system than US-made platforms.
