What's next after the attacks on Saudi Aramco?note

Saudi Oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais were attacked on the morning of Saturday Sept. 14, 2019. The attacks on Saudi Aramco were claimed by Yemeni Houthi rebels. However, the U.S has blamed Iran for these attacks.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday that the recovered debris from the drone attacks point to Iran, since the drones used in the attacks were Iranian delta-wings Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, also known as UAVs.

Iran has denied any involvement in the attacks, and claimed that it will retaliate to any direct attack.
The attack has resulted in Saudi Arabia halting half its daily oil production (5.7 million barrels), which represents 5% of the global oil supply.

Consequently, oil prices had risen by nearly 15% on Monday. The prices fell back by 7% on Tuesday, after Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman said that oil production will return back to normal by the end of September.

Concurrently, Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz - who has praised the U.S. for increasing sanctions on Iran - is reportedly set for further challenges by taking over further responsibilities at the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

The drone attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities seem to have now accelerated the process of his challenges and put his abilities to test and to prove a successful management of the situation.
