Qatar: Barzan Holdings, South Korea, and air defense systemsnote

There is talk that contacts have been underway behind closed doors between the Qatari Ministry of State for Defense Affairs and the South Korean Ministry of National Defense, to discuss how to strengthen armament relations between the two countries in several fields, including air defense systems.

In this context, the Qatari defense company Barzan Holdings is said to be looking to transfer and localize technologies used in the production of such systems, in cooperation with South Korean defense companies.
