Italian defense company Fincantieri shared its 2020 budget last week (16/3/21), which explicitly confirmed for the first time the sale of two FREMM-class frigates to the Egyptian Naval Force (ENF).
This information had been released last December, following the widely documented delivery of a FREMM frigate to the Port of Alexandria.
However, there is talk that for reasons of sensitive material and matters of national security, Italy actually removed from the frigates a number of electronic countermeasure (ECM) systems.
Tactical Report has prepared a 366-word report to shed more light on this subject.
