Saudi King Salman held a virtual meeting last Thursday (25/3/21) with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, during which he invited him to visit the Kingdom in the near future to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
There is talk that King Salman was keen on contacting PM Al-Kadhimi directly, due to the importance of security issues which he is concerned about, including the possible involvement of Iraqi military factions in attacks against the Kingdom.
Earlier this month (2/3/21), Chief of Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili had discussed Saudi-Iraqi land border security with his Iraqi counterpart Lt-General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah.
Tactical Report has prepared a 506-word report to shed more light on this subject.
