Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan is said to have approved measures aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the UAE Navy, amid Emirati concerns about the danger of the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.
These tensions have resulted in attacks on a number of commercial ships in the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Oman. Most recently, (25/3/21), a cargo ship owned by an Israeli company was damaged by a missile in the Gulf of Oman.
The measures approved by Sheikh Mohammad include the procurement of several types of weapons.
Tactical Report has prepared a 340-word report to shed more light on this subject.
