Last year, Egypt and Italy reportedly concluded a major arms deal worth more than 9.8 billion US dollars.
The deal was said to include the procurement of a military radar satellite, in cooperation with Airbus Defense & Space (co-owned by Germany and France) and Thales Alenia Space (co-owned by Italy and France).
