Oman: Sultan Haitham reluctant to host US troopsnote

Sultan Haitham of Oman is said not to be willing to change the Sultanate’s policy of strategic neutrality that has been adopted for years.

There is talk that he recently confirmed this position by declining a request by the Pentagon to station US troops in Oman.
