UAE: Italian efforts to resolve disputenote

Last month, the UAE decided to evict Italian aircraft and personnel from the Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai, in response to the arms embargo imposed by Italy on the UAE in January. The UAE had set a deadline of July 2, 2021, for the withdrawal of Italian forces.

In this context, Italian Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerini is said to have stated during a parliamentary session this week that the Italian government is currently undertaking diplomatic efforts to restore dialogue and ease tensions between the two countries.
