GCC: U.S. policy on hypersonic exports restrictionsnote

With major GCC countries monitoring international hypersonic programs, the U.S.A. is said to be enhancing potential export controls of hypersonic weapons.

U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration is reported to be interested in seeking a tripartite agreement with China and Russia outside the scope of Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) to control hypersonic exports.

The Chinese government is said to be also interested in limiting the spread of hypersonics within the GCC, while Russia’s hypersonic policy is said to have become increasingly unpredictable.
