Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khaled Al-Attiyah met on 7/7/2022 with the Italian Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerini, during a visit to Italy.
Ministers Al-Attiyah and Guerini are reported to have discussed the $190 million deal for mini-submarines being built for the Qatar Emiri Navy (QEN) by the Italian shipbuilders Giunio Santi Engineering (GSE Trieste) and M23 SRL.
