Kuwaiti news outlets reported yesterday (15/12/2022) that Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al Sabah has resigned from his position.
This comes after the Kuwaiti National Assembly announced the formation of an investigation committee to probe corruption allegations surrounding the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters and the H225M Caracal military helicopters.
Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al Sabah and Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Sadoun are expected to meet next Monday to discuss the matter in an effort to maintain the unity of the Kuwaiti government.
