Cypriot Energy Minister Giorgos Papanastasiou announced earlier this month (16/5/2023) plans to build a joint pipeline between Cyprus and Israel, connecting several gas fields into a liquefaction facility in Cyprus.
The planned project sparked an immediate reaction among Egyptian oil and gas officials.
Tactical Report has prepared a report (449 words) that highlights Egypt’s reaction, including:
- Egypt’s views on the new pipeline
- The pipeline’s effect on Egyptian LNG exports
- Its effects on Israeli exports to Egyptian LNG facilities
The report also includes the effects of the project on Egyptian-Cypriot relations.
