Kuwait’s new government was sworn in last month 19/6/2023, with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al Sabah appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad’s appointment was met with significant controversy.
However, he is said to remain dedicated to his vision, namely reviving arms deals with allied countries, especially the U.S.
Tactical Report has prepared a report (425 words) to highlight this matter, including:
- Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad’s key defense priorities and the systems he intends to acquire
- A telephone call between him and the Commander of the U.S. Central Command General Michael Kurilla
- The U.S. support for Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad
The report also mentions U.S. dissatisfaction with the Kuwaiti political crisis and the contacts that several U.S. high-level officials made with Kuwait City in this regard.
