Saudi views on Trump’s new oil policynote

Following the re-election of President Donald Trump, the latter chose North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to lead the U.S. Interior Department, and Liberty Energy CEO Chris Wright to lead the Energy Department.

Burgum will head a new entity, the National Energy Council, and will steer Trump’s strategy of excessive drilling to reduce the energy bill in half.

Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman (ABS) shares his views on the new U.S. administration oil policy.

The note sheds light on his views, notably those related to the U.S. energy policy changes and its effects on oil markets and near-term oil prices.

This note also highlights the Saudi commitment to the Paris Agreement and its effects on oil production.
