Riyadh will convene on 11/11/2023 and 12/11/2023 an emergency Arab summit and an extraordinary summit for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), respectively.
The only focus of the two summits is to discuss ways to pressure Israel to end its unabating onslaught on the Gaza Strip and open the Rafah crossing to supply much-needed provisions to the Strip.
The back-to-back summits come after two failed attempts to contain the violence: the Cairo Peace Summit in October and the Amman Summit earlier this month.
The two upcoming summits will test the Saudi ability to achieve a regional breakthrough to the situation in Gaza with international dimensions.
This Special Report deep-dives into the expectations of the summit, and the cards that could be played to push the U.S. administration and Israel to halt the strikes on Gaza. Equally, the report delves into the internal and regional potential price of failure.
