Last Friday (27/8/21), a spokesperson for the US Department of State urged its allies to avoid concluding major new agreements with Russia in the defense field, as stated in section 231 of the United States’ Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) federal law.
This came in response to the Saudi-Russian military cooperation agreement that was signed last week (25/8/21) by Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled Bin Salman and his Russian counterpart Colonel General Alexander Fomin.
In this context, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz is said to be unlikely to succumb to the pressure exerted by the US State Department.
Tactical Report has prepared a 361-word report to shed more light on Crown Prince Mohammad's position on this matter.
