UAE-Italy: Have military contacts been frozen?note

The UAE has recently decided to evict Italian aircraft and personnel from the Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai, in response to the arms embargo imposed by Italy on the UAE in January.

There is talk that no solution is in sight for the current Emirati-Italian dispute.

Meanwhile, this dispute may have a negative impact on the relations between Abu Dhabi and Italian defense companies operating in the UAE.
