The Saudi Defence Ministry has reportedly approved a project to buy chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) equipment and supplies in favor of the Eastern Fleet of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). The RSNF Eastern Fleet is said to have tested several types of such equipment and supplies during the Gulf Shield 1 exercise which it held earlier this month in the Gulf waters, the Sea of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz.
