Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson is said to be still
interested in keeping the F-16 program alive whether production remains in the
US or is relocated abroad.
Given the history of the F-16 program and continued
international interest in the fighter, Hewson is considering moving production
to Saudi Arabia under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries
(SAMI).
SAMI held meetings in the past with delegates from Lockheed Martin to
discuss the possibility of financing a new production line in the Kingdom for a
version of the F-16 fighter jet.
Tactical Report has prepared a 390-word report to shed more light on the subject.
