US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is said to be urging all sides backing either the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) forces or the Libyan National Army (LNA) to avoid further escalation in Libya.
This comes after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi warned on Saturday (20/6/20) that Egypt would directly intervene in the Libyan conflict if the GNA forces attempt to seize Sirte.
The Turkish-backed GNA considered President El-Sisi's warning as a “declaration of war”.
What does Pompeo say about Turkey's military intervention in Libya and its role there?
How does he assess Egypt's support for LNA?
Tactical Report answers these questions and more in the following 350-word report.
