The Qatari Ministry of Defense (MoD) and South Korea's Ministry of National Defense have been engaged in talks since 2023 to strengthen their defense partnership.
In this regard, South Korea’s Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Yang Young-mo visited Doha on 24/7/2024 and met with several Qatari defense officials.
The visit focused on naval defense projects between the two countries.
