Saudi Vice-Minister of Defence Prince Salman Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz is said to prefer starting talks with France on the Sawari III procurement programme which concerns the FREMM-class frigate and not linking it to Sawari II upgrade programme which concerns the Riyadh-class frigates in service with the Saudi Navy.
