Reports from Doha suggest that Qatari Emir Tamim received through mediators a proposal from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz to join a GCC naval coalition to protect oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
However, according to the same reports, he turned down the proposal.
