Earlier this month (1/6/2023), partners in Cyprus’ Aphrodite field announced their plans to build a subsea pipeline connecting the field to Egyptian liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.
However, it seems like Nicosia and the majority of the Aphrodite partners have changed their minds regarding this project.
Tactical Report has prepared a report (200 words) to shed light on:
- The reason behind Cyprus’ sudden change of mind
- The International Oil Company (IOC) pushing for a different plan
- An alternative option
The report also mentions the possible involvement of another country in the matter.
