Qatar-Turkey: Opposing views on Afghan file?note

There is talk that Qatar and Turkey are in disagreement on the Afghan file, particularly over Turkey's offer (8/7/21) to protect and run the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul after the full withdrawal of US and other NATO troops.

The Taliban have opposed Turkey’s offer, as they believe that Turkish troops, which are part of the NATO presence, should withdraw from Afghanistan.
